1. Who uses these technologies
This policy explains how Fortwit Technology Limited uses cookies and similar technologies on www.mytagalongapp.com and within Tag Along. Contact: Tagalong@fortwit.com or the company postal address in the Privacy Policy. It should be read with that policy.
2. What they are
Cookies are small pieces of information stored by a browser. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, tags, SDKs and device identifiers used by websites or applications. They may recognise a session, remember a choice, secure a service or measure use. Session items end with a session; persistent items remain until their stated expiry or deletion.
3. Categories and choices
| Category | Purpose and our launch rule |
|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Provide a service you request, such as authentication, security, session continuity and remembering consent choices. Only genuinely necessary storage is enabled without optional consent; the label does not permit unrelated analytics. |
| Preferences | Remember optional choices such as display settings. Where not necessary to provide your specific request, these remain off until you choose them. |
| Optional analytics | Understand usage patterns and improve the experience. Disabled unless and until the actual tool is disclosed and you opt in. Necessary operational security logs are treated separately under the Privacy Policy. |
| Embedded third-party content | Maps, videos or social integrations may contact another provider. Any non-essential storage or tracking is blocked until you choose it, with provider and purpose information first. |
| Advertising and cross-service tracking | Not part of the proposed launch model. We do not enable behavioural advertising or cross-context tracking under this policy. A future change requires new disclosures and legally required choices. |
We apply an opt-in standard to optional technologies across our supported markets. Some laws contain narrow exceptions, but we do not assume that an analytics or third-party tool qualifies. Using the site, scrolling or closing a banner does not count as consent.
4. The technology register
The published policy and consent settings must identify every active cookie, SDK or similar item, its provider, purpose, category, expiry and whether a third party receives personal information. This includes technologies loaded after sign-in or after selecting a feature.
Inventory status: established by a live scan on 16 September 2026. No cookies or similar technologies are in use. Every page of this website was checked with an automated browser, recording cookies, browser storage and every outbound request. It found no cookies, no browser storage and no requests to any third party. Fonts are served from this site; there is no analytics, tag manager or embedded content. No cookie names, providers or durations are invented here — the register is empty because nothing is in use, and the rows below define what it must show when something is.
You can see this for yourself, and record a standing preference for if it changes, under Cookie settings in the footer of any page.
| Required field | What the published register must show |
|---|---|
| Name and technology | Exact cookie/key/SDK/tag name and whether it uses browser storage, pixels, app identifiers or another mechanism. |
| Provider and destination | Fortwit or the named third party, relevant domain(s), receiving parties and a link to the provider’s notice. |
| Purpose and data | Specific purpose and the personal information read, stored or transmitted. |
| Duration | Actual expiry or retention period, including any server-side retention that differs from browser expiry. |
| Control | Necessary or optional category, activation trigger, consent requirement and the method for withdrawing or disabling it. |
5. Accept, reject or customise
The cookie interface offers equally prominent “Accept optional cookies”, “Reject optional cookies” and “Manage choices” options. Optional categories start off. You can reopen “Cookie settings” from the footer to withdraw or change a choice as easily as you gave it. Rejecting optional tracking does not prevent ordinary use of the service, though an optional embedded feature may stay disabled.
We keep a limited record of the selection and relevant notice version. We normally retain a preference for 6 months and ask again sooner if the purpose or provider changes materially. We do not repeatedly prompt just because you refused. Withdrawing consent stops future optional activity and removes or disables relevant storage under our control; previous lawful processing is unaffected.
6. Browser, device and privacy signals
Your browser can delete or block cookies. Your device settings can restrict app permissions, identifiers and tracking. Deleting all cookies may also remove your saved preferences or sign you out. We honour legally required recognised opt-out signals, including Global Privacy Control, for covered processing. Legacy “Do Not Track” signals are not a substitute for the choices described here.
7. International processing and updates
Data collected through these technologies follows the recipients, safeguards and rights described in the Privacy Policy. We update this policy and the register when practices change and seek fresh consent when required. The adopted version will show its effective date. Questions or withdrawal requests can be sent to our published company contact.
